Weinwisser

Extremely dense, deep purple-violet. Floral, concentrated bouquet with licorice and blackberries. On the palate, finely textured and velvety, with generous extract, blueberry bushes, fleshy character, plenty of lingering aromas, a major step up in quality from the previous vintage (thanks to the Cheval-Blanc team).

René Gabriel

Extremely dense, deep purple-violet. Floral, concentrated bouquet with liquorice and blackberries. On the palate, fine and structured, rich extract, blueberry bushes, meaty texture with plenty of lingering aroma. There has been a big leap from the previous vintage to this year’s. Thanks to the Cheval-Blanc team!

Bettane+Desseauve

This small estate, well located on the plateau, was acquired by the owners of Cheval Blanc, and the technical team of the premier cru is looking after it with great enthusiasm. This first vintage is a little fruity bomb, showcasing the immediate charm of a beautiful ripe Merlot.

Jean-Marc Quarin

This is the first full vintage produced by the CHEVAL BLANC team in charge of this new estate. The color is dark and of good intensity. The nose stands out for its purity, its finesse, and its delicate creaminess. The palate unfolds gently, very fruity, flavorful, meltingly smooth, and truly impossible to spit out on the finish. A lot of charm. It is a successful vintage.

Description

A great wine from Saint-Émilion with an aromatic and delicate signature

The estate

A very fine cru from the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, the Château La Tour du Pin charms with its elegant, refined and smooth style.

The vineyard

The estate, acquired in 2006 by Château Cheval Blanc, oversees an exceptional vineyard. The 11 hectares of vines are planted on soils made up of clay, gravel and silica. The plantings of this Saint-Émilion estate consist of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
