Appearance
A deep ruby colour enhanced by orange highlights.

Nose
Broad and persistent, it unveils seductive notes of ripe fruit.

Palate
Round, smooth and fresh, it proves full and lingering, dominated by the typical character of Tempranillo.

Food and wine pairings
This wine is the perfect companion to roasted meats, full-flavoured meats, lamb as well as game.

Serving and cellaring
It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 18 and 20 °C. The Vina Bosconia Reserva 2015 offers a cellaring potential of up to around 10 years, provided it is kept in ideal conditions, with a constant temperature of 14 °C and humidity of 75 to 80 %.

The elegance and structure of a red wine from La Rioja by Lopez de Heredia

The estate
Founded in 1877 by Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta, this historic estate spans 170 hectares of vines in the La Rioja region. Today, the fourth generation, represented by Maria José and Mercedes López de Heredia, runs the property. The estate stands out for its absolute loyalty to traditional methods, with long ageing periods and a production drawn exclusively from its own grapes, thus offering wines of remarkable longevity.

The vineyard
Located in the Rioja Alta, the vineyard of the finca El Bosque thrives at an altitude of between 460 and 487 metres. The vines, wholly owned by the estate, benefit from the influence of the Ebro River and from soils that favour a slow ripening of the grapes.

The vintage
Rated as very good by the regulatory council, this vintage began with a wet winter marked by heavy snowfalls between late January and early February. A warm, dry spring then encouraged an early flowering and fruit set, leading to an early harvest.

Winemaking and ageing
The Vina Bosconia Reserva 2015 undergoes five years of ageing in barrels. During this period, the wine is racked twice a year and fined with fresh egg whites. It then rests in bottle without any prior filtration.

Tempranillo (80 %), Garnacha (15 %), Mazuelo and Graciano (5 %).
