Description
A powerful and warm red wine from the Pyrenees
Domaine Tournon "Ladys Lane" from M. Chapoutier is a 100% Shiraz produced in the Pyrenees, in the province of Victoria, Australia. This cuvee is planted on incredibly rare soil, composed of red soil dating back to the Cambrian period. Fermentation is carried out in concrete tanks. Maturation takes place in French oak barrels (of which 10 to 15% new) over a period of 14 months on average.
At the tasting, Domaine Tournon "Ladys Lane" 2016 from M. Chapoutier reveals a deep ruby colour. The nose is rich and develops fragrances of redcurrant, leather and crushed red berries. Secondary aromas include caramel, incense and curry. The wine is delicate and expresses power and warmth in the mouth. The tannic structure is exceptionally fine. There are intense ripe fruit and spice flavours, paired with a sublime acidity.
This comment describes the general profile of the wine. It is therefore necessary to take into account the evolution of this product over time.
