A fresh and precise dry white Bordeaux wine
The property
First Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, the Château Valandraud shines among the most beautiful properties of the appellation. Demonstrating a remarkable quality-price ratio, the Virginie de Valandraud cuvée is made from a selection of younger vines from the estate.
The vineyard
Virginie de Valandraud is a dry white Bordeaux wine made from vines planted on clay-limestone and siliceous-gravelly soils. The vines are on average 20 years old. The harvested area for the production of this wine is 2.5 hectares.
Vinification and ageing
Manual harvest in 2 tries. The harvest is stored in a cold room before a 5-hour pressing. Fermentation in barrels. The ageing lasts 9 months in barrels (70% new) and 30% in concrete vats.
Blend
