Appearance
The wine displays a deep yellow color with bright green highlights, a sign of both maturity and freshness.
Nose
The nose delights with beautiful aromatic complexity: ripe white-fleshed fruits intertwine with indulgent notes of toffee and coffee, stemming from perfectly integrated aging. A mineral touch brings vibrancy to the whole.
Palate
On the palate, the attack is generous and well-structured, balanced by the mineral tension typical of Saint-Joseph. The finish is long and persistent, evolving into flavors that blend indulgence with zesty freshness.
The complexity and balance of a Rhône Valley white wine born from a singular collaboration
The estate
Founded in 1808, M. Chapoutier has its roots in the Rhône Valley at Tain-l'Hermitage. This family-owned estate, now managed by Michel Chapoutier and his daughter Mathilde, cultivates vineyards in the prestigious appellations of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A pioneer of biodynamics since the 1980s and the first wine house to offer Braille labels, it combines Rhône tradition with responsible innovation.
The vineyard
The result of a collaboration between the M. Chapoutier estate and French chef Yannick Alléno, this "Couronne de Chabot Blanc" cuvée is a Saint-Joseph wine produced from thirty-year-old vineyards growing on fine-textured granite soils of the Chabot lieu-dit, a late-ripening area of Tournon-sur-Rhône renowned for its exceptional terroir. This partnership between a three-star, perfectionist chef and a committed, passionate winemaker has, since 2010, given rise to this cuvée elegantly revealing the expression of a great Rhône terroir.
