A full and elegant Tavel rosé wine
The estate
Domaine de la Mordorée was created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son. Located in Tavel, near Avignon, this estate of 60 hectares spread over 38 plots is the perfect expression of appellations such as Tavel, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, or Condrieu.
The vineyard
La Reine des Bois Tavel Rosé 2021 from Domaine de la Mordorée is a Tavel wine from a 3 hectare vineyard located on the Plateau de Vallongue. The vines are 40 years old on average and are planted on a Villafranchian terrace of rolled pebbles on a sandy-clay base.
Winemaking and ageing
Harvest done by hand. 100% destemming, cold maceration followed by temperature control. Fermentation at 18°C.
Blend
The Reine des Bois Tavel Rosé 2022 from Domaine de la Mordorée is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Clairette and Bourboulenc.
