The estate

Founded in 1979 by Fernando Algueira, the estate F. Algueira embodies the resurgence of viticulture in Ribeira Sacra. While this region seemed to have lost its precious viticultural heritage, the Algueira family devoted itself to bringing these lands back to life. Today, the estate reflects authentic know-how, the result of more than forty years of efforts on the steep slopes of Doade and Abeleda. The family upholds local traditions while adopting modern techniques to fully reveal the uniqueness of their terroir.

The vineyard

Dolio comes from vineyards located on the steep terraces of Doade and Abeleda in Galicia. These plots, patiently restored by the Algueira family, benefit from optimal exposure and geological diversity, which brings a rich and complex minerality to this Ribeira Sacra wine. Vineyard management relies on manual work and a deep respect for the environment, thus ensuring a high-quality production.

Dolio 2021 by F. Algueira is made from a meticulous blend of native grape varieties (mencía, brancellao, sousón, caíño and merenzao) carefully selected.
