La Chablisienne : Chablis Grand cru "Les Preuses" 2022

The 2022 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru, which comes in a ridiculously heavy bottle, has a straightforward nose with green apple, nettle and light oyster shell scents, just a little predictable compared to some of the best examples from this climat. The palate is well-balanced, with quite a spicy entry. It has fine depth, but I find the creamy texture just a bit too domineering on the finish, detracting from any tension.
