Decanter

You'll probably know the Miraval name because of its celebrity owners: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought the Provence estate in 2011. But behind the starry names is a range of rather good wines, perfect for summer drinking. This blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah delivers fresh strawberry and grapefruit zest aromas. Fresh, crisp and mineral, with silky red berry fruit, this is far too easy to drink... Enjoy!

Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Yohan Castaing

A gourmand, lively bouquet of pomegranate, red berries, spices and iodine introduces the 2024 Cotes de Provence Rose from Miraval, a moderately weighted, juicy and round wine with lot of energy, concluding with a mouthwatering finish.

Kristen Bieler

Creamy melon and white cherry show pretty floral high tones in this tangy, bright version. Crushed herb and wet stone notes line the delicate, balanced finish, with hints of flint smoke and salt. Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Tibouren. Drink now. 330,000 cases made, 90,000 cases imported.

Elegant and precise, with aromas of wild strawberries, pink nectarines and subtle citrus peel layered with delicate floral notes and a touch of crushed stones. The medium-bodied palate is sleek and finely textured, driven by bright acidity and highlighted by a clear mineral backbone. The finish is lingering and refreshing. Drink now or hold.

A rosé wine from Côtes de Provence combining refinement and persistence

The property

Land of welcome for great men since Antiquity, the Château Miraval has seen Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples and also Jacques Loussier live within its pastel pink walls. In 1970, this famous French jazz pianist revolutionized Château Miraval: he had a recording studio installed where all the greatest rock legends were invited. In 2008, this magical place won the hearts of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who then decided to buy the estate. They undertook modernization work and succeeded in the challenge of bringing Château Miraval to the heights of excellence of the greatest rosé wines of Provence.

The vineyard

Located in the heart of Var, the prestigious Château Miraval benefits from an absolutely exceptional terroir in the town of Correns, the first organic village in France. This Côtes de Provence wine is made from the best terroirs of the estate as well as a selection of grapes and wines from vineyards mainly located in the northern part of Provence. The vineyard's location at an altitude of approximately 350 meters on clay-limestone soils gives this Miraval Rosé a subtle combination of acidity and minerality. Combined with this is a cool climate marked by significant temperature variations between day and night, ideal for refining maturities and ensuring perfect balance.

Vinification and aging

Harvested mainly early in the morning, the grapes undergo rigorous sorting before destemming. The cinsault, grenache and rolle are directly pressed while the syrah is vinified by bleeding. Vinification in 95% thermoregulated stainless steel tanks and 5% in barrels with stirring.
