From Montalcino to Chianti, via Pomino and the slopes of the Maremma region, the Frescobaldi family estates bear witness to over 700 years of winemaking expertise and the fascinating diversity of Tuscany.

The Frescobaldi Tenuta di Nipozzano estate is located next to the Castello di Nipozzano. This medieval castle, over 1000 years old, lies at the heart of the famous and prestigious Chianti Rufina vineyards, one of the eight geographical areas that make up the Chianti zone.

Located 25 km north of Florence, the Tenuta di Nipozzano estate benefits from excellent exposure and natural protection from the vagaries of the weather thanks to the valley of the River Arno.

The wines of the Frescobaldi Tenuta di Nipozzano estate are symbols of the Florentine wine-growing tradition, with an exceptional range of aromas, outstanding longevity on the palate and great ageing potential. Opulent and deep, Tenuta di Nipozzano wines reflect a unique expression of Sangiovese, typical of the terroir in this part of Tuscany.

Tenuta di Nipozzano has produced prestigious wines such as the emblematic Mormoreto, the symbol of the estate since 1976, the Montesodi, which reveals a unique expression of Sangiovese, and the Nipozzano Vecchie Viti, made from the oldest vines of the Nipozzano castle.
