Description
An exceptional white Coteaux Champenois from Bruno Paillard
The estate
Founded in 1981, the House of Bruno Paillard is an independent, family-run entity based in Reims. Now jointly headed by Bruno Paillard and his daughter Alice Brabant, the estate relies on a vineyard of around 25 hectares spread across nearly a hundred plots. The House stands out for its commitment to organic viticulture, its refusal to use glyphosate, and its dedication to showcasing its chalky terroirs. Renowned for its remarkably precise cuvées, it embodies a vision that combines purity, energy and elegance.
The vineyard
This Coteaux Champenois comes from the terroir of Oger, a grand cru-classified village located in the famous Côte des Blancs. This vineyard is characterized by a subsoil of soft white chalk, offering excellent water and mineral regulation. Here, the House encourages the vines to root deeply into the chalk through meticulous soil management. This demanding viticultural approach draws out the full quintessence and tension of this exceptional terroir.
Grape variety
This 2021 Oger from Bruno Paillard is made from Chardonnay.
