The estate
Founded in 1808, the Champagne Henriot House stands as an iconic reference, combining heritage and a spirit of innovation. Located in the heart of Champagne, it has shaped its history through generations, each contributing to enrich a singular heritage where tradition, excellence and vision resonate.
The vineyard
Rooted in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, these Champagne vineyards benefit from historic terroirs whose diversity of soils and climates forges the identity of the wines. Each plot, marked by its specific conditions, gives rise to grapes of great purity, true pillars of the expression of each cuvée.
The wine
Carried through eight generations, the House preserves a precious heritage of bottles, witnesses to its expertise and history. Since the first vintage in 1921, the "Mémoires" collection has grown steadily, each bottle resting in the tranquility of the cellars, symbol of a tireless quest for quality. Each bottle is tasted then disgorged manually according to traditional expertise. After a few months of rest post-disgorgement, the champagne fully reveals its history and maturity.
The Cuvée des Enchanteleurs is born from grapes from, in equal parts, six Grands Crus that are founding sites of the Henriot House: Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly-Champagne (Montagne de Reims) as well as Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly (Côte des Blancs). This selection offers a remarkable architecture and an aromatic palette of great precision, a faithful reflection of their origins.
The vintage
The vegetative cycle, initially late, was followed by very favorable climatic conditions until the harvest which began on September 17. Marked sunshine and mild summer temperatures made it possible to obtain generous and high-quality material, making this year 1982 an exceptional vintage.
Grape varieties
Pinot noir (50%) and chardonnay (50%).
