The Grande Dame 1996 offers a golden robe enhanced with delicate green hues. A bright robe underlining a fine and delicate effervescence. On the nose, this wine is lively and shows a very rich bouquet. The first nose appears to be a skillfully mix of fresh fruits with scents of peach, apricots and citrus, thus completed by dried fruits aromas such as hints of hazelnut and marzipan. Then secondly slightly toasted and mineral notes, enhanced by mild spices and brioche complete the bouquet. On the palate, the Grande Dame 1996 is defined by a soft texture, elegant and voluptuous. This wine remarkably evolves towards an endless finale, of an outstanding purity.

Tightly-packed with notes of citrus oil, orange rind, white peach, honeysuckle, and brioche, the medium to full-bodied 1996 La Grande Dame Brut should age well for 15-20 years. Crisp, fresh, and backward, it is another brilliant example from the exquisite 1996 vintage.
