The Montagne-Saint-Émilion appellation is located not far from Lalande de Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. Montagne-Saint-Émilion has more than 1,600 hectares of planted vines. These vines take advantage of gravel and clay-limestone soils that are quite robust, and are similar to those of Saint-Émilion. The Montagne-Saint-Émilion blend consists of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The elegance of these wines is due to an aromatic palette of great richness (spice, fruit, etc.) and to magnificent tannins that reveal finesse and complexity.
