Muse de Miraval 2022

First made in 2018, this limited-quantity wine comes from old vines close to the heart of the Miraval estate. Delicate aromas of violets, almond blossom, a touch of yellow peach and hints of smoky salinity. On the palate there is some crunchy red fruit, a touch of lemon and grapefruit, peppery salinity and long, pithy phenolics. The wine slowly opens up to some leesy creaminess and sweet lemon sorbet richness. This is going through a closed phase right now, but it should re-emerge with time. Vinified in ovoid concrete vats and partially aged in French oak demi-muids.
