Description
A lively and aromatic Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The property
Château Sainte Roseline is a place steeped in history. In Provence, it has the perfect location, thirty minutes from the bay of Saint-Tropez and the Croisette in Cannes, the Gorges du Verdon and Aix-en-Provence. It is on this thousand-year-old terroir that these wines, in Cru Classé Côtes de Provence, blossom harmoniously. In 1994, Bernard Teillaud took on the future of this beautiful property with the aim of making it one of the jewels in the crown of southern viticulture. In 2007, his daughter Aurélie Bertin Teillaud took over from her father in order to work towards a different and authentic personality for each of the estate's wines.
The vineyard
Established on clay-limestone soils, the 110-hectare vineyard of Château Sainte Roseline produces great Côtes de Provence wines. It benefits from a deep spring which allows the vines to be nourished in a controlled manner. The 11 grape varieties cultivated in the vineyard have enjoyed the Cru Classé distinction since 1995. The vineyard is managed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture.
The wine
The Roseline Prestige rosé 2022 from Château Sainte Roseline is made from a selection of the best grape varieties, carried out by the estate's oenologist.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes were harvested by hand and gently pressed to avoid extracting tannins. The settling of the must was followed by alcoholic fermentation, at constant temperatures between 16 and 18°C. After the coarser lees were removed, the wines were chilled to block malolactic fermentation and to improve clarification. The wine was bottled in a still atmosphere.
