Description
A complex and fresh Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The estate
Roger Zannier, owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro region for over 25 years, acquired Château Saint-Maur in 2011 with the ambition of making it a benchmark for Provence wines. Located a few kilometres from Saint-Tropez, Château Saint-Maur has been a Cru Classé since 1955.
The vineyard
With a surface area of around one hundred hectares, the vineyard is located within the Côtes de Provence appellation on a clay-limestone soil rich in schist and quartz.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are cold-macerated at low temperature, followed by ageing period in stainless steel tanks.

The tasting
Colour
Brilliant, the colour is a beautiful pale pink with salmon hues.
Nose
The nose gives off delicious fruity fragrances (red fruit, gariguette strawberries)
Palate
This wine seduces the palate with its notes of strawberry and pomelo. The finish is persistent, delicious and refreshing.
Food and wine pairing
Château Saint-Maur's M rosé 2021 will pair beautifully with meat (a veal roulade with herbs and parmesan, lemon chicken), vegetables (stuffed vegetables, a Thai vegetable wok), fish (salmon tartar, spaghetti alle vongole) or cheeses and desserts (fresh goat's cheese and redcurrant jelly, strawberry tart).
