The estate

The Domaine des Monts Luisants in Burgundy officially came into existence in 2000 under the direction of Jean-Marc Dufouleur, with the unification of its first vintage. The family parcels, progressively acquired from 1965, were returned to the estate at the end of 1999. Based in Morey-Saint-Denis, this micro-estate cultivates 3.39 hectares of adjacent vines on a limestone hillside, encompassing the appellations Morey-Saint-Denis En Pierre Viront, Monts Luisants, Genavrières, as well as a portion of Clos de la Roche. This exceptional geographic concentration on a high-altitude terroir with fossil-rich soils positions Domaine des Monts Luisants in Burgundy among the smallest specialized producers of the Côte de Nuits.

The vineyard

The vineyard of Domaine des Monts Luisants is distinguished by its exceptional position on the heights of Morey-Saint-Denis. The parcels are planted on a high-altitude limestone hillside, characterized by fossil-rich soils that lend a distinctive identity to the wines. This unique geographic concentration of 3.39 hectares of contiguous vines allows for a singular expression of the Morey-Saint-Denis terroir.
