Its richness stems from its composition: 70% aged aguardientes, an exceptionally high proportion for a Cuban rum. The art of Rum: The Eminente method

Behind every bottle of Eminente Reserva lies a meticulous distillation process, combining quality raw materials and artisanal techniques, including distillation from locally grown sugar cane. Intended as a tribute to Cuban tradition, this aged rum is composed of 70% aguardientes, particularly aromatic eaux-de-vie which, after a 5-year ageing in white oak casks previously used for ageing whisky (Bourbon then Scotch or Irish), are blended with a Cuban rum whose low alcohol content imparts a flavourful vitality. Following this, the spirit benefits from a further 7 years of ageing, a stage that develops the depth and aromatic richness of this rum.

The nose harmoniously blends fragrances of vanilla and coffee, enhanced by a hint of raspadura, namely unrefined cane sugar.

Ingredients:

For 1 glass
·        Eminente Reserva 40 ml
·        Lime juice 20 ml
·        Cane sugar syrup 10 ml

Equipment:

·        Cocktail shaker
·        Daiquiri glass
·        Jigger
·        Strainer
·        A slice of lime to garnish
·        Ice cubes

Method:

·        Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice
·        Shake for at least 10 seconds
·        Strain into a Daiquiri glass
