Rich, the nose releases aromas of fresh fleur de sel and smoked bacon interlaced with surprising notes of strawberry jam and charred pineapple, all elevated by campfire embers that evoke Laphroaig’s smoky identity.
Palate
Spicy and peppery, this whisky reveals notes of tropical fruit on the palate alongside clove and licorice, creating a complex balance between fruity sweetness and spicy intensity.
Food pairings and serving moments
At 58.6% ABV, this whisky is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its full aromatic complexity. Its power makes it a perfect companion for contemplative evenings by the fireside.

An intensely peated Islay single malt with surprising tropical notes
Laphroaig, the smoky soul of Islay since 1815
Founded in 1815 by brothers Donald and Alexander Johnston on Islay’s south coast, Laphroaig remains one of Scotland’s most distinctive whiskies. The distillery uses the peaty waters of the Kilbride Stream and traditional methods to craft an intensely peated and smoky single malt. Owned by Suntory Holdings since 2014, Laphroaig has held a Royal Warrant from Prince Charles since 1994 and remains, paradoxically, the best-selling whisky from Islay despite its bold, uncompromising flavor profile.
Elements 1.0, innovation in the service of tradition
Elements 1.0 represents Laphroaig’s innovative approach, combining ancestral know-how with modern techniques. This limited edition in The Elements Collection uses a unique combination of cloudy and semi-cloudy wort to develop its signature tropical notes. The use of 8.5- and 11-ton washbacks perfectly symbolizes this union between past and present production standards. Bottled at 58.6% ABV and non–chill filtered, this Scotch whisky preserves all the intensity and complexity of the aromas developed during its maturation. Elements 1.0 is a testament to Laphroaig’s ability to innovate while honoring its legendary peated identity.
