Characteristics and tasting tips for Château Galoupet 2024
Tasting
This vintage impresses with its structure, concentration and delicious notes of apricot, peach and citrus.
The richness and precision of an exceptional rosé by LVMH
The estate
Classified as a Cru de Provence in 1955, Château Galoupet joined Moët Hennessy, the Wines & Spirits division of LVMH, in 2019. The aim is to restore the prestige of this exceptional terroir, nestled between the sea and the hills.
The vineyard
The estate covers 77 hectares of protected forest and 69 hectares of vines, which have been in conversion to organic farming since August 2020. Made up of 40 plots vinified separately, the vineyard is managed with a meticulous approach: a comprehensive three-year soil analysis, careful cultivation practices and upgraded winemaking equipment, all to produce a great Côtes de Provence wine.
The wine
Made exclusively from the estate's own vines, this rosé comes in a lightweight, 85% recyclable amber glass bottle and reflects both the authenticity of the Provençal terroir and LVMH's environmental commitment.
Vinification and ageing
Harvested at night to preserve the freshness of the fruit, the grapes are chilled and then pressed at low pressure. The must is cold-settled before a 15-day fermentation, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels. The wine is aged on fine lees in the same vessels for 5 months, with regular lees stirring.
Blend
Grenache (45%), Syrah (20%), Rolle (18%) and Tibouren (17%).
