A vintage rosé Champagne imbued with finesse and balance

The estate

The Dom Pérignon Champagne takes its name from the famous monk and cellar master of the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, Pierre Pérignon, known as Dom Pérignon. According to legend, Pierre Pérignon discovered what we now call the traditional Champagne method.
Dom Pérignon’s commitment to quality and innovation is embodied by its current Cellar Master, Vincent Chaperon, who took up the torch in 2019.

The wine

Dom Pérignon Rosé expresses its complexity through a singular blend. Crafted over nearly twelve years of slow, carefully controlled transformation in the cellar, this Rosé Champagne reveals an intense character.
Dom Pérignon entrusted artist Takashi Murakami with the design of two unique limited editions: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and Rosé Vintage 2010.

The vintage

With the lowest temperatures since 1996, the beginning of the year stood in contrast to the entire decade. Winter frosts and a cool spring recalled the vineyard’s northern latitude. Summer was warm, but moderately so, with little rain, confirming a particularly dry year. However, in mid-August everything changed abruptly: the equivalent of two months of rain fell in just two days. With the heat and water, ripening was rapid and abundant, but the harvest began with a botrytis mold attack on the Pinot Noir grapes. As in 1995, the grapes had a high balance, both sweet and acidic, but some plots had to be discarded and others sorted to reveal the best of a vintage rich in contrasts.
